"It makes you nervous for sure," Cherry-Evans told Nine NRL reporter Danny Weidler, in his Sun Herald column<\/a>.<\/p>\n "I really hope that I am not going to get the tap. I've been around for a while now and for it to keep getting raised, it makes you nervous.<\/p>\n "I have a good management team and this is something for them to deal with. If Manly are looking to do something with me they certainly have not told me or my manager."<\/p>\n Cherry-Evans, Australia's Test halfback, has played 243 games for Manly. He infamously signed with the Gold Coast Titans then backflipped in 2015, leaving him as a one-club player.<\/p>\n He insisted to Weidler that he was a staunch Sea Eagles man and would not leave of his own volition. Now 32, he is in the latter stages of an eight-year contract worth about $10 million, ending after the 2023 season.<\/p>\n "I love this club and I want to be here forever," he told Weidler in the Sun Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n "Any talk of me and other clubs is not coming from me or anyone associated with me.
