Islamabad: As many as 8 matches results were decided on the opening day of the Pakistan International Squash Tournament.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Players advanced to the next round by winning their opening matches in the tournament. Tayyab Aslam, Amad Fareed, Farhan Zaman, Danish Atlas, Asim Khan moved into the second round.<\/p>\n

Results of 1st Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

1: Noor Zaman Beat Hamza Khan (WC) – 11-9, 11-9, 11-8 (26 Min)<\/p>\n

2: M Farhan Hashmi Beat Naveed Rehman – 11-1, 11-4, 11-4 (12 Min)<\/p>\n

3: Sye Ali Bukhari Beat Bilal Zakir – 11-7, 11-7, 9-11, 9-11, 11-7 (52 Min)<\/p>\n

4: Waqas Mehboob Beat Muhammad Farhan – 11-9, 11-4, 11-9 (18 Min)<\/p>\n

5: Muhammad Bilal Beat Abdul Qadir – 7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 10-12, 11-8 (36 Min)<\/p>\n

6: Haris Qasim Beat Salman Saleem – 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 (39 Min)<\/p>\n

7: Nasir Iqbal Beat Hamza Sharif (WC) – 16-14, 6-11, 11-7, 11-7 (46 Min)<\/p>\n

8: Zeeshan Zeb (WC) Beat Saeed Abdul – 11-9, 11-4, 9-11, 11-8 (36 Min)<\/p>\n

It must be noted here that this tournament is taking place under the banner of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) in collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force. Men event carries a prize purse of US$ 12,000\/- and has a draw of 32 players whereas Women event has US$ 6,000\/- prize money featuring 16 players.<\/p>\n

The second round of Men event will be played on December 8 whereas the Women event will take place on the same day.<\/p>\n
