Brisbane Broncos coach Kevin Walters and incoming chief executive Dave Donaghy<\/a> will fly to Sydney tomorrow to ramp up their pursuit of out-of-contract South Sydney Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds<\/a>, Nine's Ben Dobbin has reported.<\/p>\n

Dobbin reported that Walters and Donaghy were set to offer the Rabbitohs skipper a three-year deal and the captaincy of the club for 2022.<\/p>\n

Brisbane's plans come amid Cronulla's push for the former NSW Blues playmaker<\/a>, who the Sharks' have reportedly offered a three-year deal worth about $2.4 million.<\/p>\n

The Broncos are in the market for a long-term halfback after the North Queensland Cowboys signed young No.7 Tom Dearden<\/a> from 2022.<\/p>\n

But Walters was coy on whether the Broncos would have a senior half for 2022.<\/p>\n

"The roster at every club is continually being looked at," Walters said in a press conference.<\/p>\n

"We see other clubs making changes to theirs. There will be changes to ours and when that happens you will all know.<\/p>\n

"We're looking at our roster and we're trying to improve it all the time.<\/p>\n

"Are there good players on the market available? Yes, there are. Will we be speaking to those players? Yes, we will."<\/p>\n

Rising centre Kotono Staggs is also a major contract concern of the Broncos.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old's contract is set to expire at the end of this year but Brisbane are reportedly intent on retaining him on a long-term deal.<\/p>\n

"We're giving Kotoni the time and space that he needs to make the decision that he's comfortable with," Walters said.<\/p>\n

"We're happy to move along with that. I'm expecting it to be in the next seven days."<\/p>\n
