Wallabies star Dane Haylett-Petty will make his long awaited return from concussion at the unlikely venue of Yoku Road after being named on the bench for GPS in their Brisbane club clash with Sunnybank on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Haylett-Petty has been sidelined for six months with concussion symptoms after the Bledisloe Cup loss to the All Blacks in Sydney in October.<\/p>\n

There were fears that the 32-year-old may have to retire but the Rebels captain feels confident after getting through three weeks of full contract training.<\/p>\n

He likely would have played for the Rebels if they had made Saturday's Super Rugby AU qualifying final but will ease back onto the field in a lower intensity environment instead.<\/p>\n

The outside back told AAP last week that he felt prepared for his comeback. '<\/p>\n

"I've been pleasantly surprised with the recovery," Haylett-Petty said.<\/p>\n

Haylett-Petty suffered from migraines while running during the early stages of his recovery.<\/p>\n

"The first couple of months were tough, obviously not knowing what was on," he said.<\/p>\n

"To be honest, if the specialist told me to retire, I'd back them and retire and they've said that's not necessary at all."<\/p>\n
