Harare: Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam has responded to veteran Shoaib Malik’s comments in which he suggested Babar to call the shots in team selection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 39-year-old Malik criticized heavily after Pakistan faced a devasting defeat to Zimbabwe\u00a0during the second T20I in Harare last week.<\/p>\n

The No.1 ranked ODI batsman Babar was not happy over this repeated notion of not having control over the selection and now wants to put an end to this discussion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis debate should end now. The same thing is repeated in every press conference that I don\u2019t have any control over the selection,” Babar told reporters in the virtual presser.<\/p>\n

“You can see on the field that I handle everything. I decide the playing XI. Management gives their input. I know my responsibilities as a captain,\u201d Babar added.<\/p>\n

Malik also recommended that Pakistan need an international coach\u00a0who understands cricket inside out, however, Babar said that it is not his concern as he is happy with current team management.<\/p>\n
