North Melbourne's players will be forced to undergo a 14-day quarantine period after travelling to Perth to face Fremantle in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n

The Kangaroos squad returned to Melbourne after a 51-point loss on Sunday morning, and will go straight into home isolation, but will be allowed to train and play within the two-week quarantine period due to government exemptions.<\/p>\n

North is scheduled to face an undefeated Melbourne side in Tasmania in Round Seven, and that clash is set to go ahead as originally planned.<\/p>\n

According to The Age, the AFL remains open to potentially moving the fixture away from Tasmania if the situation changes. Marvel Stadium looms as the likely replacement venue.<\/p>\n

The AFL has already resorted to using Marvel as a replacement venue due to a COVID-19 issue once this season, Brisbane's Round Three clash against Collingwood was moved away from the Gabba due to Queensland's COVID-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n

The playing group will undergo their COVID-19 tests at their home base in Arden Street, with their isolation period set to expire on Sunday, May 9.<\/p>\n
