The Brisbane Broncos are unlikely to offer Anthony Milford a new contract for next season as a couple of Sydney clubs express interest in the out of favour playmaker.<\/p>\n
Broncos coach Kevin Walters dropped Milford to the Queensland Cup in the hope of allowing him to rediscover his form in round five but it appears he won't be back in Brisbane next season.<\/p>\n
It's understood rival clubs see the 26-year-old as a fullback, which is where he made his name in the NRL for the Raiders.<\/p>\n
Milford is expected to take a hit to the hip pocket with any move, with other clubs only prepared to pay just half of the $1 million a year he's on at Brisbane.<\/p>\n

The former Origin star didn't light the world on fire in his first Intrust Super Cup game. <\/p>\n
Walters saw Milford turn out for Souths Logan in their clash against Norths Devils and said he wasn't impressed.<\/p>\n
"Last week it was a tough game," Walters told the Courier Mail.<\/p>\n
"I was out at Souths and watched it \u2026 if I was to be honest, no he sort of wasn't up to the standard that we believe he can play at.<\/p>\n
"But that's one game of four or five, that's how many it will take for him to get back to the football we know he can play."<\/p>\n
Walters said Milford has been given instructions on what he needs to fix and will be back in the side once he's playing at a certain level.<\/p>\n
Karmichael Hunt is expected to be rushed into the team as soon as he is eligible in Round 11 after Brisbane's 46-6 thrashing by the Eels last night.<\/p>\n
