Karachi:\u00a0Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has agreed to join Kent Spitfires for the second half of the English county’s T20 Blast campaign this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Amir\u00a0will be available for seven of Kent’s group stage matches and will have an option to play in the knockout rounds if they qualify.<\/p>\n

Amir\u2019s exact arrival date will depend on Karachi Kings\u2019 progression in this year\u2019s Pakistan Super League (PSL), and any mandatory quarantining period upon arrival into the UK.<\/p>\n

His first match as a Kent Spitfire could be a return to Chelmsford against his former side Essex Eagles on 25th June.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0has previously represented Essex county for 21 games back in 2017 and 2019 when the Eagles went on to claim the title.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited to join a Kent team full of potential. I have always enjoyed playing at Canterbury, and I hope I will be able to help Kent win a trophy this year.\u201d Amir said.<\/p>\n
