YouTube star Jake Paul's dream boxing run has continued following a first round knockout win over MMA legend Ben Askren.<\/p>\n
Paul, who currently boasts a YouTube channel with over 20 million subscribers, improved his professional boxing record to 3-0 after landing a massive right hand which put Askren on the canvas at the halfway mark of the first round.<\/p>\n
The former UFC fighter made his way back to his feet and beat the count after copping the heavy hit, but referee Brian Stutt deemed Askren not fit to continue.<\/p>\n
The bout was officially stopped after 1.59 minutes.<\/p>\n

Paul after the fight paid tribute to his security guard, Shadow, who passed away earlier this month.<\/p>\n
"It's been four months. I've been in training camp every day. I deserve that s–t," Paul said.<\/p>\n
"This is the craziest moment of my life. I told you all I was going to do it in the first round. I told you I'm a real fighter. I don't know how many times I've got to prove to myself that this is for real.<\/p>\n
"This is for Shadow my security guard, who passed away 10 days ago. He told me I would knock him out in the first round.<\/p>\n
"He said he had a vision, a dream. This has been the hardest 10 days of my life. I had to hold it together to keep this fight going and I'm just honoured to be here."<\/p>\n
Paul, 24, made his boxing debut in January 2020 when he defeated fellow YouTuber Ali Loui Al-Fakhri, via first-round TKO.<\/p>\n
He followed that up with a second-round knockout of former NBA star Nate Robinson in November<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n
