A third fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier may be scrapped after the controversial Irishman said he would 'fight someone else' during a social media spat.<\/p>\n
In July, the pair are due to step back into the octagon together for the third time, but that's now up in the air after a long and public argument about a donation that McGregor agreed to make to Poirier's charity.<\/p>\n
McGregor promised to make a $500,000 USD ($655,000 AUD) to Poirier's foundation before their fight at UFC 257, which led to the American calling out his opponent on Twitter last week.<\/p>\n

Good luck on your old contract kid."<\/p>\n Of course, McGregor has been known to talk before he thinks online, and announce things such as retirement only to renege on them later – so a fight cancellation announcement in this medium should be taken with a grain of salt.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if the bout goes ahead – McGregor won their first fight seven years ago before Poirier got his revenge at UFC 257.<\/p>\n
