CRONULLA face the real possibility of a player walkout if coach John Morris is sent packing at the end of the season.<\/a><\/p>\n

The popular Morris seems a dead man walking, with Roosters assistant Craig Fitzgibbon freely being tipped to take his job in 2022.<\/a><\/p>\n

But Morris is so popular among the Sharks players that several off contract stars are talking about quitting the club should the change occur.<\/p>\n

"'Bomber' has been great for us and got us to the finals twice in two years," one Sharks player told me.<\/p>\n

\"John<\/p>\n

"We are hearing he was going to be sacked before the season started – it's just not right.<\/p>\n

"Don't be surprised if plenty of the boys look to get out next year as well in a show of solidarity."<\/p>\n

Star Kiwi Shaun Johnson left not doubt as to his views when asked about Morris' impending sacking on FOX Sports last night.<\/a><\/p>\n

"I think everyone that's aware of the situation would definitely be feeling the same about it," Johnson said.<\/p>\n

"I look at the facts, bro. I don't know how you can have a coach who has been throw in at the deep end right at the start.<\/p>\n

\"John<\/p>\n

"He had to take over a difficult situation at the star with Flanagan leaving.<\/p>\n

"He's gone after it, taken the side to the finals the last two years and finds himself in the position he is now. It's disappointing, certainly disappointing.<\/p>\n

"If I was at the club next year I'd love Bomber [Morris] to be around.<\/p>\n

"For me personally, he has definitely brought a better version of myself out."<\/p>\n

The Sharks have a host of players off contract, headed by Johnson, Matt Moylan, Aaron Woods, Josh Dugan, Toby Rudolf, Mawene Hiroti, William Kennedy, Billy Magoulias, Aiden Tolman, Connor Tracey and Braydon Trindall.<\/p>\n
