Cometh the hour cometh the man!<\/p>\n
Manly skipper Daly Cherry-Evans has stood tall for his troops, slotting a last-second field goal to hand the Sea Eagles their first win of 2021.<\/p>\n
Des Hasler and his men fought tooth and nail at Central Coast Stadium to bag their first points of the season in a 13-12 win over the Warriors.<\/p>\n
They smelled blood in the water when youngster Josh Schuster squared the game late at 12-12, and when they were afforded a second chance at goal after bungling a first attempt to ice the match, they would not falter.<\/p>\n

Cherry-Evans, who is becoming somewhat of a field-goal specialist, stepped up to the mark, threading an awkward drop-kick through a sea of charging Warriors players and through the upright.<\/p>\n
The elation was clear to see as weeks of frustrations were released in one stunning final moment as the entire squad piled on top of their skipper in a hilarious stacks-on.<\/p>\n
Cherry-Evans had so far this season shouldered much of Manly's form with less than impressive performances on the field.<\/p>\n

But opting to kick early through much of the night, the skipper set up both Jason Saab for a stunning opening try and later, Schuster, who benefitted off a fortunate grubber bounce.<\/p>\n
The win sees Manly move off the bottom of the ladder and releases the pressure valve of coach Hasler.<\/p>\n
