English golfer Tommy Fleetwood played the shot of the round on day one of The Masters, sinking a hole-in-one on 16.<\/p>\n

His nine iron tee shot was straight as an arrow, taking three bounces before hopping straight into the hole.<\/p>\n

It was a much-needed ace for Fleetwood, taking him to +2 for the round and a share of 34th – nine strokes off leader Justin Rose, who is smoking the field, and at -7, is four shots clear of a few players tied for second.<\/p>\n

There have been just 32 hole-in-ones ever recorded at Augusta, with hole 16 accounting for by far the most of them with 23.<\/p>\n

The vast majority of those have come in the past 20 years, including Australia's Adam Scott in 2004.<\/p>\n

The last players to his a hole-in-one at the Masters were Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas, who both aced the 16th in 2019.<\/p>\n
