Melbourne boxing promoter Brian Amatruda is offering Tim Tszyu one million dollars to fight Michael Zerafa in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
The boxing promoter has claimed he has a seven-figure offer for Tim Tsyzu to take a fight against fellow Australian Michael Zerafa.<\/p>\n
"I'm sick and tired of seeing Tim make excuses and avoid what is Australia's biggest fight," said Amatruda, who owns Big Time Boxing and promoted Anthony Mundine and Danny Green fights in the past.<\/p>\n
"Tim is a quality fighter but he just fought a 36-year-old fighter who was coming off a brutal knock-out and his second loss in a row."<\/p>\n
Amatruda has reportedly offered Tszyu a million dollars to take the fight with Zerafa, who was unimpressed with Tszyu's performance against Dennis Hogan last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n Zerafa has been agitating for this fight for some time, and would be a logical opponent if Tszyu chooses to fight another domestic opponent.<\/p>\n The 29-year-old had been inactive since 2019 until making short work of Anthony Mundine in March – but also added that he doesn't 'need' to fight Tszyu, but would want to<\/a>.<\/p>\n And while he may be eyeing bigger things overseas, Tszyu may now have a million reasons to take this fight.<\/p>\n "No discredit to Tim, but he has never fought the likes of Micheal Zerafa who is in his prime and fought the best in the world," Amatruda said.<\/p>\n "Not like Tim's opponents who were just Australians, who whilst quite handy fighters will never be world champions.
