A\ufeffFL great Matthew Lloyd<\/a> believes it's time for Collingwood to make a switch on its captain as Darcy Moore<\/a> continues to battle injury problems.<\/p>\n

Moore injured his hamstring against West Coast<\/a> over the weekend in what has been ruled a moderate grade.<\/p>\n

While the injury isn't season-ending, it's significant considering Moore has had a long list of soft tissue problems. He also recently returned from concussion.<\/p>\n

The Magpies captain has only played four matches this season, and failed to finish three.<\/p>\n

On Nine's Footy Classified<\/em>, Lloyd suggested it's time for Moore to concentrate solely on football.<\/p>\n

"I think the best thing for Darcy Moore would be to try and play football," he said.<\/p>\n

"He hasn't played a lot of footy. Take all the pressure off. I know he had a role at the PA (players' association) a while back, he was doing a lot of stuff, now I think \ufeffthe best thing for him is to try and come back and play football."<\/p>\n

However, Lloyd said he'd only make that call in-season if Moore is out for the year.<\/p>\n

"He's done too much for that club to take it off him now," he said. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Lloyd also added that it's now time for 23-year-old Nick Daicos<\/a> to be the main man.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffSome would say give it to Brayden Maynard but I would just build my club around Nick Daicos and give him the captaincy," he said.<\/p>\n

"I think it's time for a change and he should focus on playing good football again."<\/p>\n

Lloyd's comments came after Kane Cornes said on SEN that Moore's form wouldn't justify selection if he was playing for a premiership contender like Geelong.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"Does he justify his selection? Would he be playing at Geelong? He wouldn't get a game there," he said.<\/p>\n

"So that's where my concern lies … who would he knock out of that defensive system? Would he knock out Sam De Koning? Would he knock out Connor O'Sullivan?"<\/p>\n
