Zaragoza's Argentine goalkeeper Esteban Andrada was given a 12-match suspension for punching an opponent in a second-division football<\/a> game in Spain over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Andrada was also suspended for one more match for a red card he was shown before the punch.<\/p>\n

The game was in its final minutes when Andrada shoved Huesca defender Jorge Pulido to the ground when he approached the Argentine goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

After the referee showed Andrada a second yellow card for the shove, the goalkeeper ran after Pulido and hit him in the face with a powerful right-hand punch.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Pulido dropped to the ground and a brawl between players and staff members from both teams ensued.<\/p>\n

Huesca goalkeeper Dani Jim\u00e9nez was also sent off for punching Andrada during the melee. Jim\u00e9nez was suspended four matches for the punch.<\/p>\n

The suspensions can be appealed.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old Andrada spoke apologetically in the aftermath of the incident. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Football's<\/strong><\/em> new home, Stan Sport<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, is the only place to watch the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, WSL, European Qualifiers, J.League, NSWL and K League<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

"The truth is I'm very, very sorry for what happened," he said.<\/p>\n

"It's not a good image for the club, for the fans, and especially not for a professional like myself. So, I'm very sorry.<\/p>\n

"Throughout my career, I've only had one red card, and that was for a handball outside the penalty area.<\/p>\n

"I also want to apologise to Jorge Pulido because we are colleagues, and honestly, it was my fault, I lost focus at that moment, and well, I am here for whatever consequences the league may give me."<\/p>\n

Huesca manager Jose Luis was at a loss for words speaking to reporters after the game.<\/p>\n

"I can put myself in their shoes, given what was at stake and all, but it's unjustifiable," he said.<\/p>\n

"It's ugly. This was supposed to be a celebration of Aragonese football. I'd like people to talk about the match, even though it was ugly, with little play but a lot of hard work."<\/p>\n

Zaragoza also "strongly condemned" the haymaker in a statement released after the match.<\/p>\n
