Brodie Kostecki<\/a> has added further fuel to the fire following the DJR driver's controversial tangle with Chaz Mostert<\/a> in Ruapuna.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his podcast Lucky Dogs,<\/em> Kostecki was blunt about his thoughts on the reigning champion's driving<\/a>, labelling the manoeuvre "malicious" and pointing out that similar clashes are becoming the norm.<\/p>\n

"There's a difference between hard racing and, like, malicious manoeuvres," said Kostecki.<\/p>\n

"I thought it was probably pretty malicious, to be honest. And I only say it because this is the second time it's happened in two weeks.<\/p>\n

\"Kostecki<\/p>\n

"It happened to Broc (Feeney)<\/a> down the straight. I don't know why it's become a thing now where you can just drive people clear off (the road) or whatever else," Kostecki said further.<\/p>\n

"We were sort of side-by-side and then he (Mostert) kept hip-checking me.<\/p>\n

"Like, he was actually throwing his car at me to try, basically make me lose a little bit of momentum or have to lift or whatever.<\/p>\n

"And then I was still there and ended up getting hip-checked off the road.<\/p>\n

"That's when I was going through the grass and I thought I was going to be half-straight for the time, and then it started coming around.<\/p>\n

"I'm like, 'oh, it's not going to be good. The nightmares I've been having about this joint are about to come true'."<\/p>\n

After questioning the current state of driving standards, the 28-year-old also \ufeffopened up on his side of the famed pit lane conversation.<\/p>\n

Admitting they hashed it out, Kostecki revealed that \ufeffMostert was far from apologetic.<\/p>\n

"Chaz came up to me afterwards and he tried to contact me afterwards, but he basically just pins it all back to turn two the whole time," Kostecki explained.<\/p>\n

"I was like, 'oh, well, I guess it's just retaliation then'.<\/p>\n

"He started having a go at me.<\/p>\n

"Because I was like, 'if you're going to come down and apologise, just do it'. Don't need explanations or whatever else."<\/p>\n

\"Kostecki<\/p>\n

Despite the heated exchange, Kostecki remained positively philosophical about the realities of motorsport, albeit firm in his stance regarding Mostert's intent.<\/p>\n

"It is what it is. Like I said, sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windscreen," he said.<\/p>\n

"We all have lapses of judgement at times.<\/p>\n

"But there's a difference between a lapse in judgement and the malicious side."<\/p>\n
