S\ufeffhane Warne<\/a>'s son Jackson has revealed he believes COVID vaccination contributed to his legendary father's sudden death in 2022.<\/p>\n

The iconic Australian cricketer died following a heart attack<\/a> caused by atherosclerosis during a holiday in Thailand at the age of 52.<\/p>\n

The autopsy found that Warne died of natural causes and his son's theory is not supported by medical evidence.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the \ufeff2Worlds Collide<\/em> podcast, Jackson was quizzed about his dad's passing and whether he believed that the COVID vaccines less than a year prior played a role.<\/p>\n

"I definitely think that it was involved," he said.<\/p>\n

"I don't even think saying that is controversial anymore. Even if dad had underlying health issues, I think this brought it straight to the surface.<\/p>\n

"My first impression, as soon as I hung up the phone, I instantly blamed the government. I instantly blamed COVID and the vaccine."<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the vaccine rollout, around 65 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were given in Australia.<\/p>\n

In March 2025, the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance published a report detailing<\/a> "adverse events" from the COVID-19 vaccine, finding that of 160 reports that included a fatal outcome, only one was assessed by a Vaccine Safety Investigation Group (VSIG) as a death likely to be causally linked to vaccination.<\/p>\n

Clinical trials have shown that COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective at preventing severe illness due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Warne was afforded a state memorial service in Victoria – held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground<\/a> – weeks after his death.<\/p>\n

His son spoke at the service and has now revealed he almost took aim at the Victorian government for the forced nature of the vaccines.<\/p>\n

"Doing things like the state memorial, where that's funded by Vic Gov and the MCG and there has to be certain due diligence and people in the crowds have to get photos and all that stuff, I felt really uncomfortable," Jackson continued.<\/p>\n

"At the state memorial, I nearly said I blame the government and COVID, but I didn't. It was probably smart I didn't – I'd be in a very different position if I did.<\/p>\n

"That was how I felt. Even the last three or four years, I have not changed my tune."<\/p>\n

Since his death four years ago, Jackson and his sisters Summer and Brooke have helped launch the free Shane Warne Legacy Health Check, designed to increase awareness on cardiovascular disease risk\ufeff.<\/p>\n
