It shows the heartbreaking moment when Manly forward Andrew Davey is given the news that he has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during the loss to South Sydney last Saturday night.<\/a><\/p>\n The injury has ended Davey's season – and put his future in the game in doubt.<\/p>\n Distraught after putting in the hard yards all summer and winning a first grade spot at his new club, Davey's season was cruelly cut short in an awkward tackle and he hugs a mate in the Brookvale sheds as he is given the terrible news.<\/p>\n At 28, Davey was the fourth-oldest debutant in the modern era when he played his first game for Parramatta last year and has vowed to fight his way back next season.<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CMxzmtAhtsr\/<\/a><\/p>\n "I'm not really sure how to feel just yet. I'm waiting for it all to sink in and become real," Davey said on an Instagram post accompanying the photo.<\/p>\n "From one mental battle to another.<\/p>\n "I don't think this is any different to anything else I've overcome to get here. This battle is just between me and my body, I don't need to change anyone's mind or prove anything more.
