Former Wallabies lock Justin Harrison has bravely relived the painful memories of his ill-fated charity boxing bout against England hardman Danny Grewcock.<\/p>\n

The giant second rowers squared off in London in 2013 at a charity event organised by former England prop David Flatman.<\/p>\n

In another hilarious edition of 'Tall Tales with Goog<\/em>', (watch above) Harrison recalled agreeing to the fight after taking a phone call from Flatman while coaching Narbonne in France.<\/p>\n

"I think well, it's a charity, it'll be soft gloves, a bit of pantomime\u2026 no problem, right," Harrison said on Stan Sport's Rugby Heaven<\/em> on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

"I forget about it, actually forget about it. So then he rings me a week before, 'Hey Goog, it's on, we've got 600 tickets sold at this London black tie event, there's sponsors going through the roof, Danny Grewcock's been training like a madman.'<\/p>\n

"He's got a professional boxer employed to train him, like this bloke could knock out an Easter Island statue. This man is carved like a living Mount Rushmore."<\/p>\n

Harrison then watched 'highlights' of his big night in the ring as colleagues Sean Maloney, Roz Kelly and Morgan Turinui made no attempt to suppress their laughter.<\/p>\n

In hindsight, he was underprepared.<\/p>\n

"That is the look of a man who is scared, trying his best," Harrison said.<\/p>\n

"I had these aspirations of rope a dope, Matt Stevens was my cornerman. I think I'll just step in the boxing ring and avoid him. I step inside the boxing ring and think, 'My mattress is bigger than this.' How am I going to get away from this bloke?<\/p>\n

"He's got muscles in his spit!<\/p>\n

"I tried to turn it into a game of tag. It just ended up being a red nightmare, six minutes of hell. It was crazy. You can't do anything, you're not allowed to elbow.<\/p>\n

"I keep thinking charity, keep raising money because I'm going to need it for my hospital bill \u2013 let alone charity. Forget about charity, I'm trying to stay alive!<\/p>\n

\"Why<\/p>\n

"I thought about pretending to pull a hamstring."<\/p>\n

Maloney then pressed Harrison for details of his pre-fight routine.<\/p>\n

"Steak and chips down at the local, I hadn't been to London for a while, and two pints, just for a bit of starch.<\/p>\n

"My dad said, 'Mate, if all else fails, have a Guinness pal'."<\/p>\n

At least Harrison had some wins on the rugby paddock against Grewcock.<\/p>\n

Kelly then floated the idea of a fight with new Stan Sport colleague Sonny Bill Williams.<\/p>\n

"I'm going to get him ready for his next fight," Harrison claimed.<\/p>\n
