{"id":48544,"date":"2021-03-23T07:10:38","date_gmt":"2021-03-23T08:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=48544"},"modified":"2021-03-23T08:57:34","modified_gmt":"2021-03-23T08:57:34","slug":"al-jazira-players-receive-covid-19-vaccine-at-healthpoint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=48544","title":{"rendered":"Al Jazira players receive Covid-19 vaccine at Healthpoint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                A total of 17 Al Jazira first-team players have received the Covid-19 vaccine at Healthpoint, a Mubadala Health partner.<br \/>\nThe vaccination roll-out came as part of the Pride of Abu Dhabi\u2019s continuous social responsibility efforts and the UAE\u2019s country-wide campaign to encourage members of the community to receive their vaccinations.<br \/>\nSpeaking on taking part of the campaign, Al Jazira Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ali Youssif Al Hammadi said: \u201cAl Jazira is a key part of the community in Abu Dhabi and across the country. Every one of us at the club realises this standing and embraces the responsibility that comes with it towards our society. That is why we chose to take part in this initiative and played our part in the national drive to fight against the pandemic and help bring life and sport back to normality.\u201d<br \/>\nFirst-team player Ali Mabkhout commented: \u201cWe are fully aware of our responsibility as role models and athletes that the community looks up to, especially when it comes to health and wellbeing. By being among the first to take the vaccine, we wanted to send a clear message to our fellow members of the society showcasing how important it is for them, their families and communities to be vaccinated, and how vital it is to continue to follow the health protocols.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cBeing healthy and fit athletes does not mean we can treat the pandemic any differently to everyone else. Individual health is integral to the society\u2019s collective health, and vaccination is the only way to overcome the difficult period the world is going through. I chose to vaccinate, and I urge everyone to do the same as soon as they can.\u201d<br \/>\nFrom Healthpoint\u2019s side, Medical Director Dr. Mai Ahmed Al Jaber added: \u201cMubadala Health has been proactively supporting the national vaccination program from the outset, making vaccines as accessible as possible through leveraging its patient-facing facilities and standalone vaccination booths. Like all of Mubadala Health\u2019s providers, we at Healthpoint are focused on improving community health and we are delighted to be working with our partner Al Jazira Football Club to increase awareness about the importance of widespread vaccination. We urge all eligible citizens and residents to take this safe and effective measure to protect themselves and to reduce the spread and impact of Covid-19 in our communities.\u201d<br \/>\nThe club\u2019s vaccination campaign was in collaboration with main partner Mubadala Health, and comes as part of the Department of Health and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center\u2019s efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 and restore the health and safety among communities.
