Mark Bosnich<\/a> admits it is a long shot.<\/p>\n

But the Premier League champion believes \ufeffan Ange Postecoglou<\/a> return to Tottenham Hotspur is within "the realms of possibility" as his replacement Thomas Frank continues to flounder.<\/p>\n

Frank has Spurs sitting mid-table after 14 games with five wins, five losses and four draws.<\/p>\n

Football's<\/strong><\/em> new home, Stan Sport<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, is the only place to watch the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, WSL, European World Cup qualifiers, J.League, NSWL and K League<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\ufeffThat is a vast improvement on Postecoglou's last season with Spurs when they finished 17th – only one spot above the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

But the Australian manager finished fifth with Spurs in 2023-24 and, in case you forgot, led the club to a drought-breaking Europa League triumph before being sacked.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"That was our point at the end. At least give him 10 games at the start of the season after what he achieved," Bosnich said on Stan Sport's Added Time<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"Would it be a possibility they would look to bring him back? Daniel Levy's gone (as Spurs chairman). Obviously the problem was between Daniel Levy and Ange. Would that be a scenario where they would say 'should we bring him back?' Perhaps not…<\/p>\n

"The players obviously had a massive connection with him (Postecoglou). At this moment in time it's quite evident that a lot of the players are a little bit distant (under Frank).<\/p>\n

"Whether that's because of the way that he's playing, or because of his man management style, some things that we don't know about.<\/p>\n

"We're not quite sure. I don't think it's outside the realms of possibility (that Postecoglou) could return … I'm quite certain he (Levy) was the one that would have pushed for Frank.<\/p>\n

"He was the one that paid (to bring him to the club) but he's not there anymore. He's (Frank) not protected."<\/p>\n

Fellow Premier League winner Robbie Slater believed Frank was "ironically suffering" from Postecoglou's popularity at Spurs.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"The fans, they didn't want him to leave," Slater said.<\/p>\n

"Which makes it more difficult. Because everyone loved Ange. And the way he played – it's chalk and cheese."<\/p>\n

Ex-Socceroos captain Craig Foster said it was "astounding" that Spurs threw all their chips in on Brentford manager Frank.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I can't understand the fit to Tottenham. How does Tottenham say 'To dare is to do.' And then they say, this guy is a perfect fit for us? That's crazy decision making."<\/p>\n

Spurs' next assignment is a clash with Brentford on Sunday (AEDT).<\/p>\n

They are also sitting 16th of 36 teams in the Champions League after five games.<\/p>\n

Tottenham qualified for Europe's premier competition thanks to Postecoglou's Europa League triumph.<\/p>\n

Postecoglou is out of work after being sacked following an ill-fated 39-day stint with Nottingham Forest.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Thomas Frank, what an opportunity he got given," Slater said.<\/p>\n

"Tottenham were nowhere near Champions League. Ange gave them that by winning the Europa League. Not only the trophy but also the parade they had, which they hadn't had in 17 years. He gave them Champions League football.<\/p>\n

"That is a huge privilege for a new manager coming into the football club. He's got a lot to do. The fans are worried. It's a very bad time.<\/p>\n
