D\ufeffaly Cherry-Evans<\/a> has squashed any suggestion of him joining R360<\/a> in the future, but did admit he "can't begrudge" players who do make the switch.<\/p>\n

The rebel rugby union competition has become a major headache for the NRL in recent months, with multi-million dollar contracts being tabled to some high-profile stars.<\/p>\n

Zac Lomax<\/a> and Ryan Papenhuyzen<\/a> have been linked with R360 and have already been granted releases from their contracts with the Eels and Storm respectively.<\/p>\n

The likes of Payne Haas<\/a>, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Jye Gray have also been in the sights of the cashed-up competition, which is likely to kick off in late-2026.<\/p>\n

\ufeffSpeaking to media for the first time since joining the Roosters in a blockbuster move, Cherry-Evans was quizzed about the potential of ending his career there.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I don't fit the criteria when it comes to age," the 36-year-old laughed.<\/p>\n

"Anyone who is talking to them, within their boundaries and what the NRL guidelines are, I can't begrudge them at all.<\/p>\n

"The life-changing money they are talking about, I completely understand why they would be interested in it.<\/p>\n

"As for me right now, I feel like I've still got more to achieve in the game of rugby league. Rugby league has been my first love for a long time, so as long as I'm able to continue in the game, I'm gonna wanna do that.<\/p>\n

"Like I said, rugby and me probably aren't a great couple at the moment."<\/p>\n

It comes as the NRL attempts to ban players who switch to the competition for 10 years.<\/p>\n
