Penrite Racing has pulled off a major coup, signing Ferrari<\/a>'s Riccardo Corte as race engineer for the 2026 Supercars<\/a> season on Kai Allen's Ford<\/a> Mustang.<\/p>\n

Lewis Hamilton<\/a>'s \ufeffperformance engineer for the first half of 2025, Corte will replace Alistair McVean, who moves into the Head of Performance role.<\/p>\n

"I'm really proud to be joining Grove Racing at such an exciting time for the team. The progress they've made in recent seasons is impressive, and the Bathurst 1000<\/a>-win shows what's possible with the right people and mindset," said Corte.<\/p>\n

In Maranello, Corte held senior roles in the simulation and vehicle dynamics departments for the Scuderia.<\/p>\n

He contributed to car development and collaborated with some of the most accomplished drivers in the world, including Hamilton, Carlos Sainz<\/a> and Charles Leclerc<\/a>. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Brenton Grove, CEO of the Penrite outfit added: "Riccardo's background at Ferrari gives him a unique perspective on vehicle dynamics, simulation, and race-weekend execution at the absolute highest level.<\/p>\n

The category is set for a blockbuster 2026 season with the introduction of Toyota<\/a> to the grid. Penrite will continue on with Ford and look to improve on their five wins this season.<\/p>\n

Both drivers in Matt Payne and Allen are \ufeffin contention for the title in the new Supercars Finals format<\/a>.<\/p>\n
