Manly are on the lookout for a new chief executive, with Tony Mestrov set to quit the club in coming days.<\/p>\n

The Sea Eagles and Mestrov, a former head of Greyhounds NSW, are poised to announce this week that they both agreed to part ways.<\/p>\n

The club will make the announcement later this week that they have agreed to mutually go in different directions.<\/p>\n

Mestrov has held the position of CEO for the past three years but the last 12 months have been a turbulent time for the club.<\/p>\n

The Sea Eagles missed the finals, skipper and favourite son Daly Cherry-Evans announced he was quitting the club at the start of the season and contract negotiations with pin-up boy Tom Trbojevic have been awkwardly played out through the media.<\/p>\n

Club officials are refusing to comment publicly on Mestrov's future but an announcement is expected in coming days.<\/p>\n

Mestrov, aged 55, made his NRL playing debut for the club in 1990 before stints at Souths, London Broncos and Wigan.<\/p>\n

He retired at the end of the 2021 season and began the move into sporting administration.<\/p>\n
