A\ufeff bittersweet moment hit the Diamonds<\/a> seconds after the winning goal in the Constellation Cup<\/a>, with Sunday Aryang going down with a serious injury.<\/p>\n

Going into game four, the Diamonds led New Zealand 2-1 in the series, with the Silver Ferns finishing 62-57 winners at full-time.<\/p>\n

That result forced extra-time \ufeffand scores were level at 11-11 with six seconds on the clock as the Diamonds expertly wound down the clock by passing the ball around before Sophie Garbin added a point.<\/p>\n

The Silver Ferns quickly restarted with a hail mary pass sent to New Zealand star Grace Nweke \ufeffwho was ruled to have committed a contact infringement on Aryang.<\/p>\n

Aryang hit the floor with her knee tangled up awkwardly as the Australians celebrated the result.<\/p>\n

Those celebrations quickly turned to concern with Aryang in tears. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Arayang has taken an awful, awful tumble … it finishes on a low," commentator Rikki Swannell said on Sky Sport.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Diamonds staff and players huddled around her as the game was called with Australia taking the Cup back home. \ufeff<\/p>\n
