J\ufeffamarra Ugle-Hagan<\/a> was in a jovial mood when he arrived at Gold Coast airport on Tuesday night, with contract talks set to commence with the Suns.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old didn't play a single AFL game this season for the Western Bulldogs, but has still remained one of the biggest talking points in the game.<\/p>\n

Ugle-Hagan has been linked with a move away from Whitten Road and that could be moving one step closer after he was spotted in Queensland.<\/p>\n

Nine's chief AFL reporter Tom Morris posted vision of \ufeffUgle-Hagan's arrival and said the young gun was "all smiles" after touching down.<\/p>\n

"Obviously it's the dream to play AFL football," Ugle-Hagan told 9News cameras.<\/p>\n

"I definitely want to play footy … 100 per cent.<\/p>\n

"It's a good spot for a holiday. I'm definitely going to go Movie World, that's my main job. I haven't been on any of those rides. We will see what happens.<\/p>\n

The star forward was also forced to brush off an unfortunate question about how he played this year, offering a blunt "no comment" and a wry smile. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Ugle-Hagan and his management are expected to meet with Gold Coast officials on Wednesday to discuss a possible deal. \ufeff<\/p>\n

His current contract with the Bulldogs is worth an estimated $900,000 per year and the club are hopeful of getting that entire sum off their books if Ugle-Hagan departs.<\/p>\n

"As far as we can tell, it's really Gold Coast, or bust for Jamarra Ugle-Hagan," Morris told 9News Melbourne on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"The club is doing its due diligence on the forward, and as part of this process, Ugle-Hagan's management and the Suns are organising a meeting time.<\/p>\n

"There's still no certainty that Gold Coast will commit to the player, but the fact that they're open to the meeting tells us it's at least a consideration.<\/p>\n

"The Bulldogs would let him go for a late draft pick and every last dollar of his $900,000 contract off their books."<\/p>\n

Ugle-Hagan will now attend the Bulldogs' best and fairest awards night on Wednesday.\ufeff<\/p>\n

He has kicked 103 goals in 67 appearances for the Dogs since going as the first overall pick in the AFL draft back in 2020.<\/p>\n
