Ethan Strange's status as one of the best halves in the competition has been confirmed with the 21-year-old \ufeffnamed at five-eighth in the RLPA's players' dream team.<\/p>\n

Strange's selection indicates how big of a loss he was for the Raiders<\/a> in the side's semi-final defeat against the Sharks<\/a>. The five-eighth had to withdraw due to illness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Raiders were unable to attack with the same level of potency as usual and were subsequently steamrolled.<\/p>\n

Nine's Phil Gould admitted post-game that part of the loss was down to Strange's absence. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Shark too good tonight \u2026 defence outstanding \u2026 having said that, the Raider missed their five-eighth and their attack was severely limited," he wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Strange was selected alongside Isaiya Katoa at halfback. James Tedesco, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Xavier Coates, Stephen Crichton and Herbie Farnworth made up the backs.<\/p>\n

In the forwards are Payne Haas, Joseph Tapine, Harry Grant, Eliesa Katoa, Hudson Young \ufeffand Erin Clark. Kurt Mann is the bench pick.<\/p>\n

Tedesco's selection is the first time a player has been named five times. The previous years were 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022.\ufeff<\/p>\n
