Brisbane Broncos coach Kevin Walters admits "it's going to take some time" for the club to get back to its winning ways following tonight's 28-16 loss to the Gold Coast Titans.<\/p>\n

Titans recruit David Fifita was at his absolute best<\/a> tonight as he reminded his former side just how much they're going to miss him, with a starring performance which included two tries. He also finished the match with 136 run metres, 40 of which were post-contact.<\/p>\n

But the Broncos will no doubt be pointing the finger at themselves after they finished the match with 17 total errors along with a 67 per cent completion rate, which proved costly as they struggled to score points before picking up two late consolation tries.<\/p>\n

The 0-2 start to the season is a brutal wake-up call for the club who finished last year's wooden-spooners, which was the first time in history the club had steeped so low.<\/p>\n

Walters, who was only appointed coach of the Broncos at the end of last season<\/a>, was asked after the match if the job to turn the club around could eventually prove to be too difficult of a task.<\/p>\n

A defiant Walters responded and said "improvements from previous years" are noticeable around the club, but admitted there's still a long way to go before significant change starts to take place.<\/p>\n

"Coaching in the NRL is tough no matter what side you're at," Walters told reporters after the match.<\/p>\n

"While we're not winning, I'm really determined, everyone in the club is, that we can turn it around.<\/p>\n

"I think everyone's seen some improvements from previous years, albeit for not quite those periods we need to, but we're round two.<\/p>\n

"I didn't expect to wave the magic wand and it will all be fixed, that's not the real world.<\/p>\n

"It's going to take some time, but we're on the right path I believe, to get the Broncos playing better and winning."<\/p>\n

And it wasn't just Walters who was feeling the heat following the loss, with forward Tevita Pangai Junior admitting his team "didn't show up" when asked where it all went wrong after the match.<\/p>\n

"We knew they would come to play," Pangai Junior told Nine.<\/p>\n

"We knew they didn't show up last week, but they have some ex-Broncos players and you know what it's like when they come up against the old team.<\/p>\n

"We just didn't show up tonight. It's about competing for the whole 80 minutes every game.<\/p>\n

"We've got to keep competing. I felt last year we let a lot of games go, but if you keep competing the results will come."<\/p>\n
