A tough loss in the ODI series opener<\/a> against South Africa has been made worse for Adam Zampa after he was hit with a breach notice by the ICC.<\/p>\n

The leg-spinner \ufeffwas found guilty of breaching the ICC's code of conduct due to the use inappropriate language during the 37th over of the Proteas' innings.<\/p>\n

One demerit point has been added to Zampa's disciplinary record and he is facing a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of his match fee. \ufeff<\/p>\n

It is the first offence committed by Zampa in the past 24-month period.<\/p>\n

No official hearing was needed by the ICC as Zampa had come forward and admitted his wrongdoing, which was heard on the stump microphone and broadcast.<\/p>\n

He then accepted an official sanction for a level one offence.<\/p>\n

If the Australian is to accumulate three more demerit points over the next 24 months, he will risk facing suspension.<\/p>\n

It was a tough outing in the first match of the series for Zampa, who returned figures of 1-58 from his 10 overs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zampa's outing with the bat didn't go much better, making 11 runs from 18 balls. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Stemming from the same match, South Africa's Prenelan Subrayen has been reported for a suspect bowling action and could face a potential sanction.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old made his ODI debut for South Africa in the first match in Cairns, however match officials cited concern with his bowling action.<\/p>\n

Subrayen \ufeffwill now undergo an independent assessment at an ICC accredited testing facility in order to determine the legality of his bowling action.<\/p>\n
