Somehow I stumbled upon this last night and haven't yet had a chance to watch it all yet. But it's held every four years, is overseen by the International Olympic Commission, and only features sports that aren't in the Olympics. <\/p>\n
It's currently being held in China and runs through this weekend. Video is on demand on the Web site, with commentary. <\/p>\n
Some of this stuff is mesmerizing. Dynamic freediving is basically how far you can go underwater without air, so… competitive drowning? Sambo is like Olympic MMA. And there's lots more.<\/p>\n
