Jasmine Sanders has been named as a 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie. <\/p>\n

The German-born model, who was raised in Columbia, South Carolina, launched her career as a teenager and has since gone on to appear in runway shows for the likes of Ralph Lauren, Jeremy Scott, DKNY and Miu Miu. <\/p>\n

Jasmine, also known as Golden Barbie, has now been tapped as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, and she couldn\u2019t be more thrilled to have landed the sought-after gig. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited to be part of the Sports Illustrated family!\u201d she exclaimed in a statement on Tuesday. \u201cI love that they celebrate all types of women with different body types from different backgrounds. I can\u2019t wait to be alongside such icons as Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Irina Shayk, Chrissy Teigen, and Ashley Graham, just to name a few.\u201d <\/p>\n

Jasmine, who is believed to be in a relationship with TV host and actor Terrence J, is the second model to be unveiled as a rookie in the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, with Camille Kostek, a former dancer and New England Patriots cheerleader, announced last month. <\/p>\n

In addition, the blond star uploaded a video to Instagram showing the emotional moment that she found out that she is to appear in the publication, and that revealed that her photoshoot would take place in Costa Rica. <\/p>\n
