The NFL currently has <\/p>\n<p>                        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2018\/09\/28\/meet-four-women-changing-the-face-of-nfl-coaching.html\">three female assistant coaches<\/a><\/p>\n<p>                        : Katie Sowers (San Francisco 49ers), Kelsey Martinez (Oakland Raiders), and Jennifer Welter (Arizona Cardinals). <\/p>\n<p> In an interview with the sports media outlet, Browns GM John Dorsey said he was open to hiring a woman as the Brown\u2019s next head coach. The position opened up after former head coach Hue Jackson was turfed Oct. 29. <\/p>\n<p> In a statement to The Associated Press, Dorsey praised Rice as a \u201cgreat leader\u201d and he has \u201cthe utmost respect and admiration for all she\u2019s accomplished.\u201d <\/p>\n<p> However, Dorsey noted the Browns organization is still compiling a list of coaching candidates and \u201cSecretary Rice has not been discussed.\u201d <\/p>\n<p> A source told ESPN is interested in talking to Rice\u00a0 \u2014 a big fan of the Browns \u2014 to see what she can offer to the coaching gig and the team as a whole. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cShe\u2019s an amazing person,\u201d the source said. <\/p>\n<p> Rice served as 66th Secretary of State of the United States from 2005-09.
