(Scott Barbour\/Getty Images)\" \/><\/p>\n<p> Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is retiring from sports. <\/p>\n<p> The multiple Olympic gold medallist, who retired from racing in 2017, joined Australian soccer club Central Coast Mariners last year, but after failing to reach a contract agreement in November, Bolt has decided to dedicate his life to business. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cI\u2019m just doing many different things\u2026 the sports life is over, so I\u2019m now moving into different businesses,\u201d he tells <\/p>\n<p>                        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-athletics-bolt\/athletics-bolt-the-business-man-worried-about-jamaicas-future-idUSKCN1PG0ID\">Reuters<\/a><\/p>\n<p>                        . \u201cI have a lot of things in the pipeline, so as I say, I\u2019m just dabbling in everything and trying to be a businessman now.\u201d <\/p>\n<p> Bolt\u2019s announcement comes months after he was stripped of his perfect Olympics record following a teammate\u2019s drug use. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"related_links\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/canoe.com\/uncategorized\/no-pro-soccer-contract-for-usain-bolt\">No pro soccer contract for Usain Bolt<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/canoe.com\/sports\/soccer\/usain-bolt-scores-2-goals-in-first-a-league-trial-start\">Usain Bolt scores 2 goals in first A-League trial start<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> In May, a Court of Arbitration for Sport panel dismissed Nesta Carter\u2019s appeal against disqualification from the 2008 Beijing Olympics for a positive doping test, which was discovered in 2016. The ruling meant that the Jamaican relay squad\u2019s gold medal no longer counted, as Carter was a member of the team which set a new 4\u00d7100-meter world record.
