\u201cI don\u2019t understand it,\u201d said Letuli, whose dad, Kevin Woods \u2014 the golfer\u2019s half-brother \u2014 has been in a nursing home for more than a year with a crippling case of multiple sclerosis, diagnosed in 2009. <\/p>\n
Despite Woods\u2019 net worth of $800 million, Letuli, 46, said the legend hasn\u2019t contributed a dime to his brother\u2019s care. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe raise our kids to take care of their family,\u201d Letuli told Radar. \u201cIt just saddens me to see my dad suffer when the cost of getting him a caretaker and moving him home would be nothing more than a drop in the bucket for Tiger.\u201d <\/p>\n
She added: \u201cIt would make my dad the happiest person in the world!\u201d <\/p>\n
Kevin, 61, is one of Woods\u2019 three half-siblings from his father\u2019s first marriage to the late Barbara Gary. <\/p>\n
His 60-year-old sister Royce, and older brother Earl Jr., 63, who have previously spoken about the family\u2019s challenged relationship with Woods, confirmed in 2013 that the golf star has dropped out of their lives. <\/p>\n
\u201cI leave messages,\u201d Earl Jr. said in 2013. \u201cI leave updates on Kevin, but I don\u2019t get a response. Kevin loves Tiger \u2014 and when Tiger doesn\u2019t call, it just makes him feel worse.\u201d <\/p>\n
Kevin is 95% blind, completely immobile and losing his memory, according to Letuli. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe needs full-time care and assistance for everything from eating to getting out of bed,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
Kevin has never asked his famous younger brother for help, Letuli said, and he continued to root for the 43-year-old golfer even after his life spiraled out of control when he was caught cheating on his wife in 2009. <\/p>\n
\u201cMy dad has never spoken an ill word about Tiger,\u201d Letuli said. <\/p>\n
Ironically, the four siblings were close before Woods climbed the golf ranks to become one of the greatest players of all time. <\/p>\n
In fact, sister Royce \u2014 who lives in San Jose, Calif. \u2014 fixed Woods\u2019 meals and did his laundry when he attended nearby Stanford University, according to ESPN. <\/p>\n
But after their father died Woods turned tail and ran, according to Letuli. <\/p>\n
\u201cI just want to bring my father home,\u201d she said. \u201cHe\u2019s living on Social Security and disability and lost his home because of his condition. But he never complains.\u201d <\/p>\n
Kevin refuses to ask Woods for money, she added, and she won\u2019t either for fear of upsetting her father. \u201cMy dad would think it\u2019s overstepping,\u201d Letuli told The Radar. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
