The mother of late WWE wrestler Chyna is hoping some legal smackdown might prevent a television network from airing a show that\u2019s boasting \u201cthe truth\u201d behind her daughter\u2019s death. <\/p>\n
In a lengthy post on Facebook, Joanie \u201cChyna\u201d Laurer\u2019s mother Jan LaQue said she wasn\u2019t happy to learn that the American television channel Reelz is planning to air a documentary entitled Autopsy: Last Hours of Chyna, on Aug. 25. <\/p>\n
Believing it\u2019s another way to cash in on Chyna\u2019s death, LaQue said she didn\u2019t give anyone permission for the film\u2019s production or to use the wrestling star\u2019s likeness. <\/p>\n
LaQue said she\u2019ll be contacting her lawyers as she considers legal action. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhatever happened in her last hours is just that, supposition and conjecture. Not the truth as no one knows that, not even me,\u201d LaQue wrote. \u201cI don\u2019t know why so many people continue to be fascinated with the dark side and end of Joanie\u2019s life rather than the positives about her life and pretend that they know the truth about what happened, and have the need to drag me, her mother, and my family through all of this dark conjecture over and over again.\u201d <\/p>\n

Chyna died in April 2016 at age 45 of an accidental drug and alcohol overdose. <\/p>\n
According to a synopsis of Autopsy: Last Hours of Chyna, coroner and forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Hunter will reveal secrets of the late wrestler\u2019s autopsy report, piecing together the circumstances behind her demise with accounts from friends. <\/p>\n
Responding to comments in her post, LaQue said the film is \u201cappalling to me.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cLeave the girl and her family alone. It\u2019s my job as her mother to protect her legacy as much as I can. Enough is enough. There are just too many vultures circling around,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n
LaQue said if she doesn\u2019t hear back from the film\u2019s creators about cancelling it\u2019s airing, then she\u2019ll be pursuing legal action against them along with actor Kerry Newton, who is portraying Chyna in the film. <\/p>\n
