Olympic gymnast Simone Biles did just that \u2014 and then some \u2014 before throwing the ceremonial first pitch prior to Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

The world\u2019s most decorated gymnast wowed fans at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, by performing a twisting backflip on the pitcher\u2019s mound before tossing the first pitch of the game. <\/p>\n

The crowd cheered wildly after the 22-year-old Biles\u2019 leap. She then successfully pitched the ball to Houston Astros centre fielder Jake Marisnick. <\/p>\n

Earlier this month<\/a><\/p>\n

, Biles became the most decorated gymnast in the world after winning her record 25th world championship. The Olympian is also a hometown girl, having grown up in Spring, a suburb just north of Houston. <\/p>\n

Despite Bile\u2019s acrobatic pitch, the hometown Astros weren\u2019t able to dispatch the Washington Nationals, who defeated Houston 12-3. <\/p>\n
