Chelsea<\/a> superstar Cole Palmer revealed he was "confused" by Donald Trump<\/a>'s presence after the president of the USA stayed on stage for the Club World Cup trophy lift.<\/p>\n

\ufeffPalmer was instrumental in Chelsea's 3-0 win over PSG, scoring two goals while Jo\u00e3o Pedro found the net for the other.<\/p>\n

All three goals were scored in the first half with PSG's \ufeffJo\u00e3o Neves red carded before full time.<\/p>\n

When it came \ufefftime to lift the trophy at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Trump was front and centre with FIFA president Gianni Infantino.<\/p>\n

Both men brought the trophy over to Chelsea captain \ufeffReece James as Infantino tried to usher Trump off the stage.<\/p>\n

The US president stayed there smiling and clapping \ufeffas goalkeeper Robert S\u00e1nchez encouraged James to lift the trophy.<\/p>\n

"I\ufeff knew he was going to be here, but I didn't know he was going to be on the stand when we lifted the trophy," he said.<\/p>\n
