he told media on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It&#x27;s a good moment [2024 series win] &#8211; I don&#x27;t think it&#x27;s a defining moment.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It was a good moment to have and to win the series up there, but that series is gone and done and moving on from there and we&#x27;ll look to do a job this year.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It gives you a bit of confidence I guess, but it&#x27;s a new series and new team.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Watch the 2025 State of Origin series exclusively live and free on Nine and<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/9now.app.link\/1QDVFYZrWab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"\"><em><strong>9Now<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Moses struck a lethal combination with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nine.com.au\/person\/jarome-luai-25qs\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Jarome Luai\">Jarome Luai<\/a> last year, but with the return of the game&#x27;s best player in Cleary, someone was going to have to miss out.<\/p>\n<p>There are still question marks over how Cleary and Moses will combine once the whistle blows, given they are both extremely ball-dominant \ufeffhalfbacks in club land.<\/p>\n<p>But according \ufeffto Moses, he&#x27;s more than happy to take the back seat and let Cleary control things for the Blues.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"bf403e7f-5d2b-47d4-8b69-61e5f03fabb7\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/bf403e7f-5d2b-47d4-8b69-61e5f03fabb7-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Mitchell Moses of the Eels in action.\" data-width=\"5132\" data-height=\"2887\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&quot;He&#x27;s the seven, so yeah pretty much I reckon,&quot; the Eels star said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I actually have [done it] at the Tigers, I was playing five-eighth in the early days, but I haven&#x27;t played that for a while and that excites me, to play with a dominant halfback and I can just pick my opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Any time you can play with a player of his calibre, it&#x27;s massive and I&#x27;m really excited about that. I&#x27;m excited to even learn off a player like Nathan.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;He&#x27;s a quality player and I&#x27;m excited for the challenge. He competes on every play, he&#x27;s the ultimate competitor and he&#x27;s shown that pretty much his whole career. It&#x27;s exciting to play with a player like that, who doesn&#x27;t leave anything to chance out on the field.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Moses also told 9News Sydney that he didn&#x27;t know his new halves partner &quot;too well&quot; but is looking forward to spending time with Cleary over the next week. \ufeff<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"5221cac8-0879-4f7d-9555-eceb06e1f7ff\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/5221cac8-0879-4f7d-9555-eceb06e1f7ff-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"4055\" data-height=\"2281\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As for giving up his share of the footy in attack, Moses pointed out how things operate between himself and Dylan Brown as to why it shouldn&#x27;t be a problem.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It depends how you want to see how we play,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;At club level, me and Dyl touch the ball pretty similar. We have a similar amount of possessions, I just kick the ball a bit more and that&#x27;s probably the only difference.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Playing on different sides of the field is the only difference [for NSW].&quot;\u00a0\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>Moses will be one of two Parramatta players in the side, with winger <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nine.com.au\/person\/zac-lomax-26ji\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Zac Lomax\">Zac Lomax<\/a> keeping his spot after a successful return from injury in round 11.<\/p>\n<p>The five-eighth is also looking forward to playing behind a star-s\ufefftudded forward pack that features the likes of Payne Haas, Spencer Leniu and Isaah Yeo.<\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6373038501112\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/pickerimage-13.jpg\" alt=\"Daley bats away Terrell May questions\" data-vms-id=\"ref:cmaud1eey001r0gpeekbqr6l8\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&quot;They are quality front-rowers, some of the best in the comp,&quot; Moses said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;To play behind them will be massive.
