Maroons captain Ali Brigginshaw<\/a> has called for at least one women's State of Origin<\/a> game each year to be played at a "neutral ground" after the side's game one loss.<\/p>\n

Queensland were left stunned by a ruthless performance from NSW on Thursday night, with young halfback Jesse Southwell starring in the 32-12 win at Suncorp Stadium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It puts the reigning champs in a precarious position\ufeff, with the next two matches to be played in enemy territory at Allianz Stadium and McDonald Jones Stadium.<\/p>\n

Last year \ufeffit was the opposite situation, with two games held in the Sunshine State.<\/p>\n

Quizzed on whether she'd like to see a change, the champion Queensland halfback suggested taking future series on the road to grow the fanbase.<\/p>\n

"We\ufeff are up for anything," Brigginshaw said.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffIt's a challenge and I think we have a squad that want to take on a challenge.<\/p>\n

"I would've liked to get one at home, especially at Suncorp. We \ufeffhaven't shown up in front of our home crowd which is what hits home the most and is disappointing.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'd like to take one further away where it's a neutral ground for both of us. We can take our game anywhere and people want to see it.<\/p>\n

"We have spoken about going up to Darwin. Taking it somewhere to show our game to everyone else – but in women's footy, you just play wherever you're told."<\/p>\n

Head coach Tahnee Norris echoed the sentiments of the skipper.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Absolutely – it showcases our game and spreads it even further," she said.<\/p>\n
