T\ufeffhe NBA<\/a> has opened an investigation into Memphis guard Ja Morant reportedly using his hands to mimic a gun towards the Golden State Warriors<\/a> bench on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The incident reportedly occurred during a timeout in the final 20 seconds of the game. The 25-year-old walked towards the opposition bench and formed an imaginary gun with his hands, leading to technical fouls for himself and Warriors guard Buddy Hield, who is similarly being investigated.<\/p>\n

ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania described the incident as 'finger gun motions'.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Morant has twice been suspended by the NBA for brandishing a firearm on his social media channels. In 2023 he was suspended for what ultimately ended up being eight games for revealing a gun on a live Instagram feed while partying in Denver.\ufeff<\/p>\n

He was then suspended for the first 25 games of the following season\ufeff after doing it once again.<\/p>\n

Morant took to social media to express\ufeff his bemusement at the situation.<\/p>\n

He followed that tweet up with a second, saying "god bless y'all".<\/p>\n
