Cronulla and South Sydney<\/a> are investigating an incident involving South Sydney's mascot after allegations a nine-year-old was pushed in the face at Shark Park.<\/p>\n

The club's official mascot Charlie Gallico, or "Reggie The Rabbit" as he's known, was accused of pushing the boy on Saturday, when the Rabbitohs lost to the Sharks<\/a>, according to The Sydney Morning Herald<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sharks and Rabbitohs officials both confirmed they were aware of the incident.<\/p>\n

A video posted on TikTok captured an incident where the mascot approaches a young Sharks fan.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"We are investigating what happened and will have no further comment to make until our investigation is complete," the Rabbitohs said in a statement.<\/p>\n

"We have reached out to the boy's mother to let her know we will be investigating the incident."<\/p>\n

The investigation reportedly started after a social media post from the child's mother accused Gallico of the assault.<\/p>\n

Cronulla were contacted before information was passed on to the Rabbitohs and NRL.<\/p>\n
