Parramatta coach Brad Arthur<\/a> has bemoaned his side's lack of respect towards a young Broncos side after securing a comeback win on Friday night<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Arthur's men had to climb back from a 16-point deficit before securing the win off the back of a barnstorming second-half showing.<\/p>\n

However, despite the comeback attempt, Arthur was left "annoyed" by his side's lacklustre opening to the game which saw the Broncos romp to a 16-0 lead.<\/p>\n

"It was exactly what I asked them at half-time, just get back to playing our game," he said.<\/p>\n

\"Brad<\/p>\n

"A half of footy is a long time but we just needed to respect the opposition a bit more. I'm a little bit annoyed that we didn't show them enough respect early, or in the first half. I don't want us to be a team like that.<\/p>\n

"In the last couple of years we couldn't have fought back. (The first half) was a reflection of not respecting the opposition or ourselves.<\/p>\n

"We thought we could pass our way to (a win) instead of working hard."<\/p>\n

While he was annoyed at his side's attitude in the first half, Arthur said he was confident that his charges could turn the game around after the main break.<\/p>\n

"I think we had 33 per cent possession in the first half," he said.<\/p>\n

"There was a lot of hard work to be done so we just needed even possession, we didn't need anymore, but just even possession.<\/p>\n

"We've worked really hard in the pre-season and I saw how calm they were in the sheds at half-time.<\/p>\n

"I spoke to our assistant coach and he said they were really calm on the field, so that was a good indication for me.<\/p>\n

"We challenged them around lot letting the Broncos score in the first 10 minutes (of the second half)."<\/p>\n
