N\ufeffick Daicos<\/a> is refusing to let his pre-season injury setback define his comeback in 2025.<\/p>\n

The 2023 premiership star has been managing what Collingwood<\/a> confirmed was mild plantar fasciitis since last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It has left his pre-season heavily impacted, as he has been restricted to light training duties away from the main group.<\/p>\n

But the 22-year-old\ufeff is finally back on his feet, running and involved in contact drills already.<\/p>\n

"Just steadily built over the pre-season and pretty much pain free now. It's super exciting," he told 9News Melbourne on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

"Starting to get my fitness back and everything. Super excited to be back out with the boys.<\/p>\n

"It's great knowing games are around the corner."<\/p>\n

And despite his setback reducing his preparation, the young star is secretly happy his injury occurred before the season proper.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Everyone is going to have injuries at some stage. Fortunately, I guess, mine was in the pre-season, not during the season," he said.<\/p>\n

\"Nick<\/p>\n

"As long as we manage it well – which the club's been amazing with – I'm sure it won't be an issue\ufeff."<\/p>\n

The Pies will face Richmond in their pre-season match on February 26 at Ikon Park.\ufeff<\/p>\n
