Generally speaking, a fit Harry Kane is a firing Harry Kane and this season has been in keeping with that. The England striker has dazzled with his threat and intelligence in front of goal in addition to his influential all-round play.
\nThis\u00a0season has seen him produce phenomenal numbers with 16 goals and 13 assists so far. His devastating partnership with Son Heung-min seemed to cool off after their fierce start to the campaign but the inclusion of Bale in the mix has returned a spark to what was a waning attack.
\nThe dilemma for FPL managers now is whether to back Bale or Son in the Spurs midfield with the Welshman the in-form man but the latter certainly the more reliable in terms of injury and playing time.
\nThe easy way out though is to invest in Kane who remains the focal point. He also has a reputation for delivering the goods\u00a0in a north London derby, making him a prime candidate for the captaincy this week.
\nALTERNATIVE
\nBRUNO FERNANDES\u00a0(11.5m) was dropped by several managers ahead of the Manchester derby and promptly racked up his 11th double-figure haul. Now could be the time to capitalise on his lack of ownership or at least the lack of armbands being placed on him ahead of a blank in GW29.
\nBOLD CHOICE
\nMASON MOUNT\u00a0(7.0m)\u00a0was rested for the game against Everton, only coming on for a 24-minute cameo. A Frank Lampard favourite, Mount has shone under Thomas Tuchel as well and has two double-figure hauls in his last three starts. He’s the main man on set-piece duty, scenarios from which Leeds are widely known to be vulnerable.

Getting in arguably the best player in the league is hardly a savvy FPL move but his long spell on the sidelines means that, for a limited time only, Kevin De Bruyne is something of a differential. At the time of writing, his ownership is under 18 per cent though that could change quickly now that he seems to be back in the\u00a0groove with 14 points vs Southampton.

\nMOHAMED SALAH\u00a0| LIVERPOOL | 12.5M<\/p>\n
Dropping the leading goal-scorer in the league seems like madness and in any sane season it would be but this is not any ordinary campaign, Liverpool have the misfortune of serving as ‘Exhibit A’ in that regard.\u00a0Four blanks in a row for Mohamed Salah simply doesn’t justify his exorbitant price and\u00a0the champions aren’t even in action\u00a0in GW29.

Brighton have made huge improvements in the second half of the season and perhaps haven’t had as many points to their name as they deserve. Their attack is notorious for misfiring but their defence has been relatively solid. Despite blanking in\u00a0the last three games, Robert Sanchez and his back line have shown enough in the eye test to suggest that they can return to the form that saw them keep\u00a0five clean sheets in the six games before that.
