Former UFC star Tyson Pedro<\/a> will make his professional boxing debut on November 20 after recovering from a fractured elbow.<\/p>\n

Pedro will take on Australian heavyweight champion Kris Terzievski<\/a> at Penrith's Panthers Leagues Club after the injury forced their original June 12 fight date to be rescheduled.<\/a><\/p>\n

Pedro enjoyed a successful seven year run in the UFC light heavyweight division which included stoppage victories over Khalil Rountree Jr and Paul Craig.<\/p>\n

Pedro and Terzievski will contest the WBC international bridgerweight title.<\/p>\n

"I could have fought someone easy, but I didn't want to pull the wool over the Australian public's eyes," Pedro said.<\/p>\n

"I wanted to have a hard opponent, I wasn't planning on taking any easy fights. We want to put on a show for the boxing community.<\/p>\n

"<\/em>It's a lose-lose for him. If he loses to me, he loses to an MMA fighter."<\/p>\n

Terzievski (12-1) is one of only two men to have defeated NRL great Paul Gallen in the ring.<\/p>\n

"Any fight is a challenge, especially of this magnitude, but I'm looking forward to representing boxing," Terzievski said.<\/p>\n
