Sydney Swans veteran Dane Rampe<\/a> will await his fate with the match review officer, after he was penalised for high contact on Zak Butters.<\/p>\n

The two men came together with eight minutes left in the first quarter between the Swans and Port Adelaide<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Butters handballed ahead before Rampe hit the Port star high.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe umpire then paid a downfield free kick before Ryan Burton kicked a goal for Port Adelaide seconds later.<\/p>\n

"That was a \ufeffhigh hit … fair enough," Matthew Richardson said on 7.<\/p>\n

If Rampe is found guilty of forceful high contact, he could be banned for the grand final but it's likely he'll receive a lighter charge and simply cop a fine. \ufeff<\/p>\n

While he was flattened by Rampe, Butters rose to his feet and joked with his Swans rival after the hit. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"I think that shows how tough Butters is because he got up, laughed at it \ufeffas if it was nothing," Luke Hodge said.<\/p>\n

Hodge's comments come after Port great Kane Cornes called for Butters to "push through" a rib injury<\/a> he was subbed off for in the qualifying final loss against Geelong.<\/p>\n
