Giants defender Isaac Cumming appeared to be lining up for a monstrous shot at goal when he began strolling in from virtually the centre circle.<\/p>\n
"He's got the Michael Holding run-up," Brereton said on Fox Footy's coverage.<\/p>\n

But instead of shooting for a rare goal, Cumming opted to drop the ball at the top of the goal square – and Greene pounced.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
First-year Sydney draftee Braeden Campbell swooped on the footy when it spilled to ground and attempted to handball to ruckman Tom Hickey, but Greene batted the ball to ground in a cunning intercept and soccered the Sherrin through the sticks.<\/p>\n
"And Toby Greene is there! A freak at his best," play-by-play commentator Kelli Underwood said.<\/p>\n
King raved about Greene's eye-popping play.<\/p>\n
"He's unreal. What a freak of a talent he is. That is a great call, (Kelli) – he is a freak," King said.<\/p>\n
"He just assesses things so quickly. He had no time to take possession of the ball so he just throws the boot at it. Bang! You can't explain how good this is."<\/p>\n

Brereton reminded viewers of the subtlety to Greene's incredible arsenal.<\/p>\n
"What makes him amazing, too, is that most elite players in the competition have a physical trait that sets them aside from everyone else," Brereton said.<\/p>\n
"He's reasonable in everything but he doesn't have a physical capability that's extraordinary – yet he's an extraordinary player."<\/p>\n
The Giants beat the Swans 18.6 (114) to 12.14 (86).<\/p>\n
Round One of the 2021 season will begin with the traditional Richmond-Carlton clash on Thursday, March 18.<\/p>\n
