Soccer star Hope Solo’s dog is in critical condition at the vet after the doberman was shot in North Carolina. <\/p>\n

The two-time Olympic gold medallist revealed the heartbreaking news on her Instagram account on Thursday, noting she and her husband Jerramy Stevens are in shock. <\/p>\n

“Our magnificent dog Conan… is in critical condition after being shot last night,” she shared in a caption to an image of the couple smiling alongside their five dobermans. <\/p>\n

“It’s hard news to share, but harder to make sense of this heinous act. Jerramy and I are shocked and heartbroken, but we want to say thank you to Wilkes Veterinary Hospital and their staff for rushing Conan into emergency care, as well as their COVID-19 care practices.” <\/p>\n
