On Saturday, LSU<\/a> landed a commitment from five-star wide receiver Derek Meadows.<\/p>\n

A 6-foot-6, 205-pound wide receiver from Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nevada), Meadows is the top-ranked player in the state and the No. 32 overall prospect in the nation according to 247Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ESPN has Meadows<\/a> at No. 188 in their top 300 players in the nation.<\/p>\n

The class of 2025 recruit chose LSU over Alabama<\/a> and Georgia<\/a>. He also held offers from Michigan<\/a>, Notre Dame<\/a> and Oregon<\/a> among others.<\/p>\n

Last year in 10 games Meadows had 15 catches for 391 yards<\/a> and eight touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The addition of Meadows gives LSU the third-best class in the nation<\/a> according to On3. The class now has eight committed players in the top 100 of the On3 Industry Rankings.<\/p>\n

This includes quarterback Bryce Underwood, who is the top-ranked recruit in the Industry Rankings.<\/p>\n

Meadows was a big part of Bishop Gorman finishing last fall 12-0. They were the top-ranked team in the nation in the final USA TODAY High School Sports Super 25<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was the fourth time that the program has been named the best team in the nation by USA TODAY.<\/p>\n
